CSIR-CFTRI is a large and diversified laboratory presently headed by Dr. KSMS Raghavarao, Director, CSIR-CFTRI. There are nearly 200 scientists, technologists, and engineers, and over 200 technicians, skilled workers, and support staff. There are sixteen research and development departments, including laboratories focusing on food engineering, food biotechnology, microbiology, grain sciences, sensory science, Biochemistry, Molecular Nutrition and food safety. The premised was divided into various wings, among which each of them stood for specialized functions which was explained Mr.Punith, engineer, who was our acting guide. The processing of food instrument used for the same was explained by our him. For commerce students the business set up and the informationonstartups were found to be very useful.
After which we went to another wing where more specialized functioning was explained by Mr.Anbalagan, who was an engineer. He has explained about the job opportunities for commerce students in CFTRI.
The trip concluded with visiting other places, ThriveniSangam and summer palace, which made this one of our very memorable experience.
